The People of the State of New York, by the grace of God free and independent. To Chauncey P. Turner, Anna Harder and Ada Harder, of Livonia, New York. Mary Kinney and Cordelia Kinney of Lima, New York. Josiah H. Turner of Geneseo, New York, William J. Turner of Battle Green, Michigan, and George Turner, Francis Kinney and Jane Kinney, whose places of residence cannot with reasonable diligence be ascertained -- Send Greeting: Whereas, Lucinda Turner has lately applied to our Surrogate Court of the County of Livingston, for the proof of the Will of William Turner late of said county, deceased, which said Will related to personal estate; Therefore, You are cited to appear before the Surrogate of said county, holding said Surrogate Court at his office in the village of Geneseo on the 9th day of May next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon of that day, and attend the Probate of said Will; and such of you as are infants, notice is hereby given that at the time and place aforesaid, an application will be made for the appointment of a special guardian to appear for you in this matter. Given under the Seal of said court at Geneseo, in said county, the 14 day of March 1887. [signed] H.P. Kershner, Clerk to the Surrogate Court. [signed] J.B. & G.B. I, William Turner of Livonia Livingston Co NY, Do hereby make, publish and
declare this my last Will and Testament as follows:
In witness whereof I the said William Turner have hereinto set my hand
and seal the twenty sixth day of October A.D., One thousand Eight
hundred and Eighty two. [signed] William Turner. The foregoing instrument consisting of one page was subscribed by the said William Turner in our presence and acknowledged by him to each of us, and he at the same time delared the said instrument so subscribed by him to be his last Will and Testament, and we at his request have signed our names as witnesses hereto in his presence, and in the presence of each other, and written [cannot decipher] our names our respective places of residence. [witnessed by] Samuel H. Northrop, Livonia, Livingston coutny [and] Sarah M. Northrop of the same place. |
Grandfather WILLIAM TURNER's Last Will and Testiment dated 1882 and filed on his death in 1887 (He was born in 1799, so he lived a long time..) He resided in LIVONIA and HEMLOCK LAKE most of his life. Contributor: Gary Naden |
