SHUTT FAMILY, of Sparta---DEABOLD SCHOTT b.29 Sep 1735, d. 14 Nov 1799 married Christina Elisabetha Riesen b. 1760 d. 1806. They are buried in Salem Union Church at Moorestown, PA. Deobold was in Rev. War. They had children:

Lorenz b. 1761 d. 1826; Maria Margaretha b. 1763; THEOBALD b. 1766; Christina b. 1767; Gertrude b. 1769; John Jacob b. 1770; Maria b. 1772; Catharine b. 1774; Elizabeth b. 1776; Anna Maria b. 1777. All stayed in Northampton Co. PA except for Theobald who went to NY. Lorenz served in the Rev. War and also as a substitute for Theobald. THEOBALD SCHOTT (SHUTT), son of Deabold, was b. 1766. According to the History of Story Road & Vicinity by Lloyd Moose, he d. 9 Dec. 1833 in Sparta NY. Theobald was married first to Salome b. 1765. d. 17 Mar. 1812. They had 5 children:
DEBALD b. 1792; Salome b. 1793; Susanna b. 1795; JOHANNES b. 1797; Lydia 1805. All born in Moore Twp. Northampton Co. PA. He married 2nd. Elizabeth Welty. They had one daughter Juliana b. 15 Dec. 1815, christened at Salem Union Ch. Moorestown, PA When his brother Lorenz died his estate went to his brothers and sisters. Theobald was living in Livingston Co. NY when he signed. stating he had received his share, on 26 Dec. 1826. The Story Road History shows that he came to Dansville in 1822 with his wife and Abraham Swarts. He d. 9 Dec. 1833. Burial in Kiehle, (Old Dutch) Cemetery, Sparta, NY. His will was probated 18 Mar. 1833.

DEBALD SHUTT, son of Theobald, b. 1792 and his brother Johannes (John) 1797 were in the 1850 census in Livingston Co. NY in the town of Sparta. Debald married Christina Zerfass circa 1808 and had 9 Children:

Johannes b. 21 Dec. 1812 sp. Jacob Schott & Catharine. Uncle & Aunt.

Lydia b. 1 Mar. 1817 Sp. Jacob Bauer & Katharine Schott

JOHANNES SHUTT, son of Theobald, b. 3 Mar. 1797, d. 9 Jan. 1874. Married Christina Wilti 20 Sep 1816. She was b. 1 Oct. 1800 in PA. d. 28 Mar. 1877. They are buried in Kiehle (Old Dutch) Cemetery in Sparta, NY.

John b. 1834 from 1850 census.
Susan b. 1837 from 1850 census.
Daniel b. 1839 from 1850 census.

NOTE:There was mention of Paul Shutt that m. Lydia Weidman, dau. of George and Catharine (Knights) Weidman. David Shutt single, and Catharine Shutt m. Dodlip Knights. I don't know where they fit in.
